Overview[]

Primary Objectives are gameplay tasks which gate progression during a run. Primary objective award gold and Experience Points and are determined before the start of each level. Until the floor's primary objective is complete the player cannot progress upwards in the Turbo Lift. Floors may draw common objectives from the objective pool or have objectives specific to each zone.

Mission Types[]

As you embark on a new ascent, be prepared to encounter a variety of challenges on each floor. There are five distinct types of missions that you may come across: Elimination, Uplink, Crystal, V.I.P., and Boss floors. Each mission presents its own unique set of obstacles and opportunities, so be ready to adjust your strategy accordingly.

Elimination[]

In elimination, you'll be tasked with neutralizing all hostile forces on a designated floor. If you successfully hack any Turrets, they will be considered defeated, allowing you to complete the objective without destroying them. Once the objective is completed, any additional Enemies that arrive via the elevator will not affect your progress, but those present during the mission will still need to be eliminated.

Some tips to beating this mission are trying to take out the cameras first as if the mission is not yet completed will summon Security teams that you have to kill in order to beat the mission. You should also regularly scan the area to see where the enemies are as they like to move around the mission.

Uplink[]

The uplink mission requires you to locate an uplink console and initiate the uplink process. The uplink will start at 0% and gradually increase to 100%, with notifications at 50% and 90% completion. As you defend the uplink zone from Enemy attacks, keep in mind that the further along the uplink process is, the stronger the enemies will become. Some enemies will even come equipped with a shield perk, so be prepared for tougher challenges as you work to complete the uplink. If too many Enemies enter the zone, the uplink will temporarily pause until the enemies are eliminated.

In the Uplink mission, not only do you need to defend the zone from incoming enemies, but you also have the option to overclock the uplink for a quicker completion. This will accelerate the spawning rate of Enemies, making the mission more intense and challenging. Only consider overclocking if you have the necessary confidence in your gear and combat skills, as it could lead to you being quickly overpowered by a surge of Enemies.

Throughout the fight, data capsules will appear within the uplink zone. Collecting a data capsule boosts the uplink's progress by +10% and is an excellent way of speeding up the battle.

An effective strategy to overcome this mission is to find a corner or narrow space that limits the angles of attack from the Enemies, allowing you to focus your defense and minimize your vulnerability.

Crystal[]

In the crystal mission, your objective is to gather a specified number of crystals. This particular mission is relatively straightforward. Once you've obtained all the crystals, the mission will be complete. To collect the crystals, simply locate them, position yourself next to them, and extend your hand with your palm out to gather them effortlessly. After collecting all four crystals, your next objective is to locate a device that will initiate a memory game. Upon successfully completing the game, you will receive a Keycard which will enable you to exit the level.

To achieve success in the crystal mission, it's recommended to eliminate all Enemies in the area for easier access to valuable resources such as the chest, vending machine, and health station. However, they're not a requirement to complete the mission. Additionally, be cautious of potential environmental hazards, such as fire and electricity, as you gather the crystals. Timing is crucial to avoiding these obstacles.

Lockdown[]

During a lockdown mission your goal is to collect lockpicks and override the security modules located around the level. There are two types of lockpicking challenges, Inject and Factor.

Inject is a timing-based perception challenge which requires you to inject a laser lockpick into a set of spinning rotors. A Laser Lockpick is consumed for every failed injection.

Factor is an intellect-based codebreaking challenge which you must guess two secret digits by adding them and multiplying them to match given clues. A Laser Lockpick is consumed every time a dial wraps back around.

Lockdown floors are patrolled by squads of security agents, so be prepared to take them on when you arrive. Expect enemy patrols to defend these terminals as you begin successfully overriding them.

VIP[]

The V.I.P. mission presents a unique challenge, where your objective is to take down a formidable miniboss, who is guarded by two loyal bodyguards. Stay alert, as an indicator will appear in the top right corner of your screen whenever the V.I.P.'s health drops to either 50% or 10%. This is your cue to ramp up the intensity or deliver the finishing blow.

To excel in the V.I.P. mission, consider utilizing elevators to your advantage. Step into an elevator to recharge your shield and reload your weapons, as the V.I.P. and their bodyguards will be unable to cause you harm while you're inside. Another effective strategy is to isolate the bodyguards from the V.I.P., thereby removing their regenerative abilities and making it easier to take them down.

The V.I.P.[]

The V.I.P. is a formidable foe, unlike any other enemy in the game. This miniboss wields an Elite assault rifle and boasts a substantial amount of health and firepower. Throughout the fight, you'll observe the V.I.P. using teleportation . This can happen for three reasons; first, if you're out of its line of sight, it may teleport to get a better shot at you; second, if you inflict significant damage, it may teleport away for a short period before reappearing; and third, if you take out one of its bodyguards, it will teleport away, then return after a short time. V.I.P officers can also cast healing portals which restore a portion of their total health. Dealing toxin damage will counter this healing effect. During New Game Plus, the VIP has significantly more health and a much more powerful weapon.

The Bodyguards[]

As you advance further in your run, the bodyguards that accompany the V.I.P. in combat will undergo transformations, evolving into more formidable opponents. Be prepared for a progressively challenging fight against these protective minions. These enemies differ from their standard counterparts in that they possess increased health and a unique characteristic of following the V.I.P. closely. If you notice a green aura surrounding the bodyguards while they are near the V.I.P., it means they have the ability to heal, making them even more challenging to defeat. Note that this aura only appears when they are in close proximity to the V.I.P.

Boss Floor[]

The Boss Floor experience is currently undergoing development and is subject to change.

Hanger Boss[]
Starting the boss fight[]

To initiate the boss battle, simply approach the large doors and they will open. As you move forward, the boss will soon make its appearance, flying through the hanger doors. Get ready to face the ultimate test of your skills.

Boss Attacks[]

The boss has five distinct attacks you should be prepared for.

Missile Attack[]

During the battle with the boss, one of its initial moves will be to unleash homing missiles. As the fight progresses, the number of missiles will increase. Fortunately, they can be effortlessly neutralized by targeting and shooting them down. Stay alert and ready to respond to this attack.

Plasma Attack[]

The next attack you should be aware of is the plasma attack. In this attack, the boss fires orbs of plasma from its arm. These can be easily deflected with a shield and will travel at a slow pace. Deflecting the bullets can also cause damage to the boss, so make use of your shield to your advantage.

Laser Attack[]

The next attack you'll face is similar to the orb attack, but instead of slow-traveling phaser bullets, the boss unleashes a barrage of fast-traveling lasers.

Claw Attack[]

The next attack is indicated by the boss lifting its arm up and towards the hangar control room, with purple circles emitting from the hand. In this attack, the boss will command a claw to pick up an explosive and drop it on you. A red laser will be seen coming from the sky, indicating the location of the claw. A spinning radar icon can be seen where the claw connects to the ceiling, indicating that it can also be scanned and disrupted. Emitting a scan pulse will cause the claw to immediately drop its explosive payload. With proper timing and positioning, this can be used to attack the boss for significant damage. Alternatively you may wait for the barrel to drop over you-- fortunately the explosive is relatively easy to dodge.

Ship Attack[]

The final attack of the boss is marked by the boss extending its arm toward the ship in the hanger, emitting purple circles, and the ship being marked with a communication icon. To dodge the attack, simply stand in the center of the ship as it will be firing green lasers from both sides. Standing near the ship and emitting a scan pulse will cause the ship switch to firing its plasma cannon down the center lane. This may be used to avoid the attack or redirect it at the boss.

Exiting the Boss Floor[]

Upon defeating the boss, another door within the hanger will reveal itself, easily distinguishable from the entrance. Pass through it and you'll come across the elevators, providing you a path to exit the current mission.

Final Boss[]

The final boss is currently unfinished and as such no information will be provided here.
